What is BNI?

BNI is a business and professional networking organisation that allows only one represntation from each trade of profession to join any of its chapters. The sole purpose of the BNI chapter is to generate more business for its members.

BNI is the most successful business referral organisation in the world; there are currently over 4,200 chapters in operation with tens of thousands of members.  Members of BNI in 2005 passed over 3.3 million referrals and this translated to over £1 billion pounds in business being done between members.

BNI Members carry a card file with other members' business cards in it. When they speak to a clinent, associate or friend and they recognise a need that can be fulfilled by a member of the chapter, they can then provide a referral to fill that need.
